BIOTRAILS 2nd TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE WEBINAR SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED!
On Thursday 27th February, BIOTRAILS proudly delivered the 2nd webinar of the Transformative Change Seminar series, titled “Methodologies for mapping systems interactions”, hosted by the Ecosystem Services Partnership.
This collaborative event brought together over 135 participants online, including professionals, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders interested in biodiversity research and transformative change.
Unique insights from BIOTRAILS, BIONEXT, CircHive and MOSAIC Horizon Europe projects were shared, offering a deep dive into various aspects of modelling methodologies in biodiversity monitoring. Key topics included the application of methodologies such as:
-biodiversity footprint assessment;
-participatory system dynamics modelling exploring the Water, Energy, Transport and Health Nexus as well as to support policy design in the Biodiversity-Climate-Society Nexus;
-structural equation models for the adoption of sustainable behaviours and
-policy labs as innovative cooperation models to support effective land use policies.
The webinar offered an inside look into the real-life use of those methodologies by different projects and research teams and offered researchers the chance to exchange experiences, discuss challenges and exchange input and resources. As such, this second seminar served as an additional means for the cluster projects to deepen their understanding of each other’s research approaches laying the groundwork for future collaborations and valuable research exchanges.
