BIOTRAILS and PSii Resume Joint Activities in Ucayali
Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Alliance Bioversity International & the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Ucayali, a working meeting was held on Monday, July 21.
The main objective of the meeting was to present the results of the BIOTRAILS project and the initiative “Private Sector Incentives and Investments – PSii.”
During the meeting, Yovita Ivanova, Senior Manager at Bioversity International – CIAT, along with her technical team, presented the progress and lessons learned from the project’s implementation. They highlighted opportunities to connect the business sector with transition processes toward the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.
The session also served to explore new collaboration opportunities under the BIOTRAILS Project, to strengthen institutional cooperation around integrated land management, environmental sustainability, and local productive development. The meeting concluded with an open exchange of ideas and a mutual commitment to continue aligning efforts to generate positive impacts on the local economy and biodiversity conservation.
