BIOTRAILS SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES 1ST TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE WEBINAR!
On Thursday, September 12th, we proudly hosted the first webinar of the Transformative Change Seminar series, titled “Conceptual Frameworks on Transformative Change and Stakeholder Engagement.” This collaborative event brought together over 100 participants online, including professionals, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders interested in biodiversity conservation and transformative change.
Unique insights from BIOTRAILS, SELINA, PLANET4b, and BIONEXT Horizon Europe projects were shared, offering a deep dive into various aspects of stakeholder engagement and conceptual frameworks. Key topics included experiences with Learning and Action Alliances (LAAs) and communities of practice, identifying leverage points, and other diagnostic frameworks critical for facilitating transformative change. A dynamic roundtable discussion followed the presentations, shedding light on the challenges faced and lessons learned in the field of stakeholder engagement.
The webinar revealed the intricacies and challenges of effectively engaging stakeholders within the context of transformative change and highlighted how different conceptual frameworks can complement one another in the pursuit of biodiversity preservation. This first seminar served as an excellent platform for the cluster projects to deepen their understanding of each other’s approaches, laying the groundwork for future collaborations. We eagerly anticipate the enhanced synergies of concepts and methodologies and the co-creation of adaptive solutions and tools in the coming months.
This webinar was the first in a series of Transformative Change Seminars organised by seven Horizon Europe projects working collaboratively to foster learning, share experiences, and develop innovative solutions for biodiversity conservation. The seminar series is part of the ESP education and training webinar series.
